Revelation Releases ODBC Driver version 1.1
Revelation is please to announce the release of the Revelation ODBC Driver version 1.1. This version has a number of improvements over the previous version including:

Effective September 15, 2007, Revelation announces that it will no longer support any versions of Revelation or Advanced Revelation on Vista workstations, whether running in standalone mode or as a part of a network.
Based upon feedback from our clients, our in-house testing, and anecdotal reports from the field, there appear to be too many issues with Vista to allow Revelation or Advanced Revelation applications to run reliably. We are saddened by this; these products represent a majority of Revelation’s twenty-five year history, and we truly enjoy working with them.
However, we had anticipated issues with Vista based upon our beta testing, and we developed the Arev32 product as a viable, affordable, and supported upgrade path. Arev32 will run on Windows XP, 2000, and Vista, has no 64K limit, and will work with all currently available hardware. It will be maintained and supported for the foreseeable future.

The Revelation Development Staff
OI for Web (oi4Web) is a .NET control that allows developers to communicate with OpenInsight's OpenEngine via the EngineServer. The oi4Web control can be used from within Active Service Pages (ASP) to connect with an OI database, run a stored procedure, and retrieve results.
You must have the following prerequisites for oi4Web:
- Internet Information Services (IIS) installed and configured on your system
- Active Server Pages (ASP) enabled in IIS
Once you have installed oi4Web, you must configure the oi4web.ASP page to point to the proper directory, and the oi4web.ini file to point to the location of your EngineServer and your application/username/password details.
