Revelation Announces End of Support for 16-bit OpenInsight
April 15, 2003- Westwood, NJ: Revelation Software announced today that it will no longer be offering support for 16-bit versions of its flagship product, OpenInsight, effective August 15, 2003.

Basing their decision upon a turndown in support calls for the 16-bit versions of the product, and increasing upgrades from existing 16-bit systems to 32-bit systems, Revelation Software will now focus their efforts on the 32-bit versions and upcoming Linux release of OpenInsight.

This is the right time to announce this decision. We know of very few clients still running the 16-bit product “said Mike Ruane, President of Revelation Software. The 32-bit versions of the product are better in nearly every aspect- they’re faster, more stable, provide greater capabilities, and offer more up-to-date functionality and look.

Specifically, OpenInsight versions prior to 4.0 will be supported on a pay-per-incident basis. Terms and fees can be found on Revelation’s website at, or by calling Revelation Software at (800) 262-4747, or (201) 594-1422 for international customers.
